20% ending results

Our project was a partial success. We did have trouble getting time to work on the project as it was a team effort, and we had missed most of the days we worked on our 20% projects. We were able to find lots of information about building underground as there are many people that have already and are starting to build underground houses. With the underground safety house it doesn't need a high cost. There is no need for electricity and really expensive furniture because it would only be for a few hours or days. We will not be working on it after the class is over because it is more of a project for the future when we would be older, so there isn't any reason to rush anything at this time.

Stock 4

I bought two more stocks Cabelas (Cab) and Vulcans Materials Company (VMC).  I bought 15 stocks of Cabelas at the price of 64.67$. I bought 10 stocks of VMC at a price of 64.67$. I bought cabelas as a trade because it going to be summer soon, so people want to go camping. Also the hunting season is coming soon as well. People are going to get supplies, clothing, weapons, and all the essentials they will need to go on the trips. Cabelas catalyst has yet to come. I bought Vulcans Materials as an investment because people are building and remodeling for houses and all kinds of projects, so they need materials and Vulcans can supply it.

Stock 3

I bought two more stocks, Wells Fargo (WFC) and Sprint (s). I bought 10 stocks of Sprint for 8.17. I bought 20 stocks of Wells Fargo at a price of 49.46. I picked sprint as an investment because it doesn't really have a catalyst, and it has also had a steady increase from when it was first recorded. I think it will keep steadily increasing without making a huge jump in prices. I chose (WFC) as a trade because summer is coming soon and there are many people that spend money to go on vacation, go shopping, going to the big summer events. There is going to be a lot more spending in the summer. The catalyst for Wells Fargo is the summer.

Clash of clan ranking positions

We ranked barbarians as CEO because they are the icons of the game. And also with all the configurations we made the barbarians came out on top. We ranked goblins as maintenance because they are given a job and get it done without any distractions. They also go and clean out all the money they can.

Stock 2

I bought two more stocks Cummins and PepsiCo. Cummins (CMI) is a cooperation that designs, manufactures, and distributes filtration, and power generation products. PepsiCo (PEP) is a beverage and food company. I bought 10 shares of cummins at 143.48$ totaling 1,436.80$. I bought 15 shares of PepsiCo at 83.57$ adding up to 1,252.05$. Each of these companies have had a steady increase for as long as they have been recorded. One of CMI competitors is Navistar. Even though Navistar has a much lower price it has decreased by over 4,260$. Cummins keeps on increasing. The same as one of PepsiCo's competitors, Mondelez is cheap but it has decreased since it started. I think the price of CMI will keep rising during the summer when people want powerful generators to cool their vehicles and homes. People will also want an cold a drink during the hot summer days, so the catalysts for PepsiCo and Cummins has yet to come this year.

Kick Starter

If I were to submit my 20% percent project I would make a video that shows the good qualities and features my project has. List what it can do and how better it would be for everyone if they had it. Then submit it to where every one can see it and make funds and support it.

Stocks

I bought two different stocks. I bought one share of Exxon Mobile (XOM) for 96.92$ with commission of 10.99$ adding up to 107.91$. I also five shares of General Electrics (GE) for 25.94$ each with a commission of 10.99$ as well equaling up to 140.69$. I chose XOM because the price was low and Fortune 500 listed Exxon Mobil as most profitable company with 41,060 million compared to Chevron, a competitor of XOM, and rated second for most profitable. with 26,895 million. I bought five shares of GE because it was a low cost for one share. It also has a four out of four star rating from Morningstar. Only one other company had the same ratings, Honeywell International. I think that because the cost of fuel is more likely to keep rising and people don't want to bike, walk or take bus into town the price of Exxon will keep rising as well. Exxon has also kept on gradually rising according to the graphs longest record. It highest and lowest prices were 101.51$, and 1.43$ from when it started. I predict the prices to be around 127$ in five years. I think the price of GE will keep rising as many electron devices are being used and invented for a "better life". I predict the prices to be around 41 in five years. The highest price they have is 59.88$ and lowest is 1.00 from when they stared.

Black jack v.s. stock market

Black jack had many commonalities with stock companies. You have to take a risk on the amount of money you put into the stock like you put on the table. When you put your money out there you have to be smart with your money otherwise you can lose your money. Also how much of a stock you want to buy is like how many cards you want to take from the dealer. It also ,the dealer being the company, he didn't bust until the last time. It shows sometimes the company can lose it's profit. Black jack made you aware of the risks you take, so you can be smart with your money.

20% week 6

We have built up a plan to make a 3-D model of our underground safe house. We found great advice on buildings being built underground from experts in that area. They spoke a lot about materials needed and how to support it from falling in. They also gave certain situations in which we need to be aware of. We also have made a list of the materials we need, precautions, and costs. The lists are likely to change as we build the underground safe house thinking about extra precautions for living underground. By the end of the year we hope to have a finished 3-D model, and paper work containing the costs, and blueprints.

Candy stocks

Wednesday march 19, we simultaneously entered at a rushed pace through both doors of the room. Before we entered he explained that there was candy and money and to pick up as much as possible. It took only minute tops for all of the treasures to be cleaned up. We organized our piles of money and candy. We calculated the amount money we had we grabbed and the worth of the candy that was stated on the board. Every two minutes the prices changed. Sometimes the candy companies split the prices, had a dividend, and joined together. Some people walked around to other classmates trying to sell or buy items in their stock. The others stayed in their spot confused or not wanting to sell or buy. The goal was to earn as much money as possible. When the price changes were done we all quickly added up the ending price of our stock. We showed Mr. Kapptie our math, and took a picture of our candy stocks. And the period was over.

Dear Me, Skills

Dear me,
As the future technology reaches to new heights, I think few skills needed will be dexterous, responsibility, and amiable. People need to be good with their hands because many jobs require you to work with small and fragile objects. There are also many robotic devices that need to built or repaired. Another is responsibility, being able to pull your own weight, accomplishing all tasks that you were given, being punctual, and working hard every day. Last I think being amiable will help you get a job. If you are friendly to the people you work for and around it makes the job less stressful. And also if you are friendly to the customers they will want to keep coming and even tell their friends to shop at the company you work at. Being friendly will help the business with satisfying the customers and hopefully new ones coming. These are three skills I think would be needed to find a job.

Day Light Savings

I would keep day light savings time just make a few adjustments. For example I would make all the countries on the same day turn their clocks forward in the top hemisphere, and backwards one hour in the lower hemisphere. This would make it easier for figuring out the time, than how we figure out time now during daylight saving times. Because of the change for day light saving time when it gets over they add another hour of sleep. Also when you change the time the light lasts longer during the night making more time for agriculture and other outdoors activities. Yes, they could go at night, but it wouldn't be safe and if someone were to be harmed it would be hard to see them and the situation they are in. it would also have lighter at night making it easier, and safer for drivers.

20 % Week 3

We have been building a blueprints for the underground safe house. We have also been thinking of the best materials that would cost less, but would last a long time as well. We have been having a bit of trouble getting to talk with a construction manager/worker. Over the next month or so we plan to build a 3-D diagram of our plan and fit it into a budget.

20% week 1

We have created a list of questions to ask a construction manager for building underground.

1.) What would be the average cost of materials?
2.) What would be the best materials?
3.) How far can you dig into the ground?
4.) What would be the best type of soil to dig?

Raising minimum wage

I am against raising minimum wage. There are pros and and cons, but I believe the cons of raising minimum wage
out weigh the pros. It will become more difficult for the low skilled workers to find jobs as the amount of jobs
decrease, because of the higher wages they can't afford all of the employees. The smaller businesses have to be
able to accomplish the tasks with fewer people. Then they have to pay for stock that costs even more because the
of demand is higher. The cost of ordinary living supplies will rise for the customers. A full-time minimum wage
worker earns about 15,080 dollars a year putting a three person family over 4,000 dollars in debt. 73.9 million
workers above the age of 16 were hired and paid hourly. Among them 1.7 million made minimum wage and 2.2
million made below the minimum wage according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. There are still many people
that don't earn minimum wage now, how are they supposed to earn a living when the minimum wage is raised
even higher as the prices of everything else goes up. For the small amount of people in poverty being helped they
are being replaced the people who can't afford a home because they don't have a good paying job or even a job.
I am against raising minimum wage because I believe that the cons out weight the pros.

I think the Denver Broncos are going to win the Super Bowl because they have won two and lost four, while the Seattle Seahawks have won 2 and lost 6.
